Hollywood vs Bollywood Films:

One of the differences between Hollywood and Bollywood films is not necessarily the fact that these films originated from different countries, but rather what their film subjects are and their beliefs. In other words, Hollywood movies focus on multiple genres (horror, action, drama, history) while Bollywood concentrates on mainly romantic films along with some dramatic and action motion pictures.

Another difference Irrfan Khan, an actor who played in Hollywood and Bollywood films, pointed out in the clip that Hollywood films are based on a Western concept, as well as the films reaching for a world-wide audience and details in the movie are very explicit.

It was difficult to hear what he was saying about Bollywood, but he did say that the films within that industry are changing. What he probably meant by that was that the films are now adding "explosion" scenes for dramatic effect, which Hollywood has been doing for several years, unlike Bollywood. Now their films have been updated in a modern fashion.

These industries have made a huge impact, especially coming from different cultures. But with modern technology, both Hollywood and Bollywood have expanded along the way, in their own comfort zone. In other words, they film what is deemed appropriate and what is not considered appropriate for their culture.
